From August 15-21, 2024, a high-level delegation from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) visited Indonesia to engage in bilateral discussions and visit some International Climate Initiative (IKI) projects in Indonesia.

The ExploRE project implemented through GIZ has facilitated a synergized collaboration among different government stakeholders, which resulted in a strong buy-in from the MEMR. GIZ and MEMR are currently jointly preparing for academic transcript drafting on green hydrogen development, as a required process before the issuance of a PP.

The Nature Conservation Concessions project implemented by FZS, working with BKSDA Jambi, are committed to re-establishing a viable orangutan population in the Bukit Tigapuluh landscape. The latest stars of the program are two young orangutans: Siti and Sudin.
