Turtles are sea turtles that belong to the group of vertebrate animals (have backbones) of the reptile class of the testudinata order. Sea turtles that can be found in Indonesia include olive ridley turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea), green turtles (Chelonia mydas), leatherback turtles (Dermochelis coriaceae), flatback turtles (Natator depressus), loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta), and hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata). These animals have scaly skin, are cold-blooded, breathe with lungs, and reproduce by laying eggs. In addition, turtles have agile flippers to carry them to migrate long distances.
